Full Armor Of God

Here is a great video depiction of Ephesians 6:10-17. If you haven't already, I recommend reading Take Up The Shield. It is the signature book of this ministry and one that can have an incredible impact on your faith and relationship with God.

Ambassador's Academy Starts

The first ever Ambassador's Academy has started with the Founder of Ten-Four Ministries, Tony Miano, serving as the Director. I ask that each of you keep Tony, the Living Waters Staff and the participants in your prayers this week. You can keep up with the events of this historic event on the Lawman's Blog.

The Treasure Hunt

Geocaching has quickly become a popular high-tech way to hunt treasure. Participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver and to seek and hide containers of "treasures". The typical treasure found is a water proof container containing just about anything you can imagine (books, jewelry, etc.). It is estimated that close to a million treasures are waiting to be found in over 100 countries across the world. Those participating typically use websites that announce the treasure's location via the GPS coordinates. You can find out what kind of treasures are waiting in your town by placing your zip code in the official Geocaching website.

Greg, from Colorado, and a great friend to Ten-Four Ministries and host of a Ten-Four Missionary trip last year had a great idea. A friend of his is active in Geocaching and Greg has given him Ten-Four Challenge Coins to use as treasure. Often times, treasures are obtained and placed back out for others to find. The possibility is endless of what one coin could do for the Glory of God.

What a great way to evangelize. Thanks Greg for the awesome idea.

It's Time To Get Expelled

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is opening this Friday at a Theater near you. You can view the trailer above. I would encourage everyone to go see this movie and take an un-saved friend with you. We'd love to post your comments after you see the movie.

Matthew 7:13-26

I promised I would tell you how the lesson on Matthew 7:13-26 went last Sunday. As expected, it got mixed reviews. Here are a few of the comments that were said:

"That was unlike anything I had ever heard before."

"I'm more into the new age stuff."

"Thanks for that."

"I've never heard something like that before."

and my favorite: "I don't think that message is welcomed by most. We should try to reach people like they do in California. You know, like messages by Rob Bell."

World Autism Awareness Day

Today is World Autism Awareness Day and April is Autism Awareness Month. This month, in your community, there will be events in an effort to bring an awareness of Autism.

Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life and is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain, impacting development in the areas of social interaction and communication skills. It is estimated that 1 out of every 150 children are born with a form of Autism.

As Christians we should embrace these children and families that deal with Autism. Whether you donate, help with a support group or make sure that your church is empowered to handle children that are Autistic, let me encourage you to do that.

My best friend has an Autistic child and I have seen first hand the financial sacrifice and toll it takes on their family. His wife sits in a car outside church with her son while her family attends church. This is because the church is not prepared and equipped to watch Autistic children.

There is something we can all do. Please consider it.

A Day At The Park

I spent the afternoon at Wrigley Field. It's not a bad way to spend the day. Above is a picture of one recipient of a Million Dollar Bill Tract.

Expelled: Coming To A Theater Near You

The crew over at Living Waters had the opportunity to view a special screening of a new movie featuring Ben Stein exploring Darwinism. Ray Comfort describes the movie as "phenomenal". You can read his review here. I would encourage everyone to see this and take a non-christian with you. It is sure to stir up conversations about faith.
