Armor of God Update
I just returned from Muscle Shoals, Alabama and while one of my intentions was to attend a conference with a couple from my church, there would be work to be done with Ten-Four Ministries as well.
A few weeks ago, myself and the President of our Board of Directors, Josh Rutledge, travelled to Richardson, Texas to their police agency and picked up 60+ ballistic vests, tactical vests and equipment for the Armor of God Project. In order to save money, whenever we can avoid shipping costs, we do and a 4 hour drive to Richardson was a great time of fellowship with my Brother in Christ and fellow laborer. We want to thank the Richardson Police Department (see photo above) for their committment to providing this much needed equipment.
So with the planned conference trip, we took most of the equipment from Texas to our distribution center, located just a few miles from the conference. We met up with Muscle Shoals Lt. Clint Reck (see above photo) on our arrival and what would be a wonderful week began.
The current distribution center of ballistic vests has grown dramatically since my last visit in July 2009. Clint and Ray Mahan have done a great job with this ministry of Ten-Four Ministries.
As you can see from the map above, in just nine months, the Armor of God Project has reached law enforcement in need of ballistic vests in 40 states and 3 countries. All of this with very limited funding and no advertising. God has certainly been good to us as we have had a front seat view of His Work.
I am continually amazed by the quality of equipment we receive. Clint is holding (above) a tactical vest worth over $1600. We recently received over a dozen of these vests that will be going to a SWAT Team that had requested some if we received any....Did I mention how great God is. We will now have the opportunity to meet officers we would not normally have met, give them the vests and share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We finished up our week in Muscle Shoals by filming some informational videos on the project which we will be distributing soon and upon leaving we had the opportunity to drive to Sardis, Mississippi and met with Renee Ward and her husband (see above photo), the pastor of St. Matthew's Missionary Baptist Church. We met them just before the Sunday service and listened as Renee spoke of a horrible incident that occurred in the city she works in as the City Clerk. You can see our interview together here. We were able to personally deliver eight vests to Renee and her husband is partnering with us to deliver the vests to the officers and present the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ten-Four Ministries Guest on What's Up Radio
We had the humble honor last week to be a guest on Terry Lowry's What's Up Radio program based out of Houston, Texas. We gave a three part interview covering various aspects of Ten-Four Ministries including our history and the ministries we are currently involved in. I would like to thank Terry for his gracious invitation.
This is the audio of all three interviews. The discussions in order consist of the history of the ministry, projects we are involved in, our counseling service and our Armor of God Project.
If you can't see the audio player, you can go directly to the link here.

Crenshaw PD Receives AOG Vests
The Armor of God Project recently provided vests to each officer of the Crenshaw (MS) Police Department. I was travelling last Thursday to Muscle Shoals, Alabama for two specific purposes. I was attending the True Church Conference with my wife and another couple from our home church and I had scheduled a film crew to help us with some video at our vest distribution center which is located in Muscle Shoals.
The Lord would add to our plans. I received a call Thursday afternoon that the Crenshaw, Mississippi Police Department needed ballistic vests for each of their officers. The small town of just 900 were addressing this need after one of their officers was shot. That story itself was simply heroic. You can read about it here.
Because the area was just a few hours out of my way, the opportunity had arisen to personally give vests to the agency. I met with the City clerk at her husband's church earlier today. You can watch a short interview with her below.

America's Most Wanted: Vote Now
On April 1, 2009, The Armor of God Project began and God has done amazing things with it. Close to 800 free bullet-proof vests have been given out to officers in need and with each vest, we have been able to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the officer.
America's Most Wanted has just listed the co-founder of the Armor of God Project, Lt. Clint Reck, as a 2010 All Star Nominee. Clint has been nominated for his work on the project and he will be competing the next eight weeks with several other first responders. This is where you come in.
Eack week, starting now, the first responder with the top vote will be placed in the finals. Once in the finals, Clint would compete against eight others for the top prize. While the prize would be great, we are asking you to help us with something much more important. If Clint makes the finals, it would no doubt place his work with Ten-Four Ministries on the national stage. It would have the potential to bring many officers to us, thus giving us the opportunity to tell them about Christ. This was the sole reason Clint agreed to accept this nomination when he was called by AMW.
We need your votes now. We are asking that you vote for Clint and you are able to do it once per day. Ultimately your votes could enable us to tell others about Christ. We are excited about this and hope that you will help us.
Remember, you can vote once per day. Please consider this.

It Is Not Death To Die
"If God has called you to be really like Jesus in your spirit, He will draw you into a life of cruxifixion and humility, and put on you such demands of obedience that He will not allow you to follow other Christians; and in many ways He will seem to let other good people do things that He will not let you do. Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires and work schemes, but you cannot do it; and if you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent. Others may brag on themselves, on their work, on their success, on their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing; and if you begin it, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.
Others may be allowed to succeed in making money, but it is likely that God will keep you poor, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, and that is a helpless dependence upon Him, that He may have the privilege (the right) of supplying your needs day by day out of an unseen treasury. The Lord will let others be honoured and put forward, and keep you hidden away in obscurity, because He wants some choice fragrant fruit for His coming glory which can only be produced in the shade. He will let others do a work for Him and get the credit for it, but He will let you work and toil on without knowing how much you are doing; and then to make your work still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work you have done, and this will make your reward ten times greater when Jesus comes."
