A dozen people from my church family (pictured above) joined me for a 2-hour walk through the neighborhood surrounding our church. Each time we knocked on a door and we told the person who answered that we didn't want any candy, but rather wanted to give them something, they said, "You wanna do what?" They were stunned, amazed, and (for the most part) appreciative.
Toward the end of the evening I think we were all getting a little giddy. At a couple of houses, when the person came to the door, they were immediately met with an enthusiastic chorus of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." :-)
We distributed at least a couple of hundred tracts. We only had one lady refuse to take a tract, but everyone else took them with a smile on their face.
