Every Day is a Mission Trip

I believe that each day we wake up is a mission trip. God is giving us another day on this planet and we must spend that day serving him in any capacity that is presented to us. I spent last week in Mesa, Arizona. While it wasn't an official Ten-Four Ministries Mission Trip and there were no sermons planned, it was very much a mission trip.

I travelled to the Mesa Police Department to expand on the research of a major project I am involved with at my agency. I spent two days with various officers from the agency and many great contacts were made. More importantly, I was able to place the book, Take Up The Shield, in the hands of several officers including the Chief of Police. Many tracts were left for waiters, hotel employees and others. It was a great opportunity to plant many seeds and we should all thank God each day for these opportunities.

Being in Mesa, did you encounter a lot of Mormons? They have the large Temple there! I used to live in Tempe for about 9 years and loved it out there. My prayers are with them. Continue in your mission field! God bless

What you said makes a lot of sense. I didn't know about the Temple but I noticed the Mormon Bible in my hotel room and thought that was odd. It doesn't seem out of the ordinary after your comment. Thank you for reading.

The Temple is located on Main St in Mesa. It is a beautiful building. As for the Book of Mormon in the hotel room, is it possible you were in a Marriott's? Marriott's is owned by the LDS Church!

I live in Chandler, which is in the greater Phoenix area like Mesa. There are tons of Mormons here and Yes, a Temple. But, I also found a book of Mormon in my hotel room in Anaheim last November. I left a note and a bible tract in there. In some cases, I've heard that Gideon's Bibles are missing completely yet Books of Mormon are there. That's concerning for sure.
